Sheikh Lawin Trail 04-December-2015

 



Explore the Palestinian heritage.

 

In this trail we will start from Al-Hamra palace in Ramallah heading to Howara village to have some delicious Palestinian pastries and tea. Right after that we will visit Al-sheikh Yaroub Sufi shrine that dates back to the Mamluk era in Jabaa village, then we will head to Silet Al-Daher village to visit Lawin Sufi shrine and the Persian ruins before heading to the railway tunnel which is craved in the mountain, arriving to Salah el Dein and Numan bin Lawin Sufi shrines. This beautiful trip will end with a traditional Palestinian lunch and sweets in addition to a visit to al Masoudeyeh village.

 

8:00                          Pick up bus from Al-Hamra Palace @ 8:00

8:45                          Stop for Breakfast and drinks at Howara  town.

9:30                          Visit Al-sheikh Yaroub Sufi shrine in Jabaa village.

10:00                       We will head to Silet Al-Daher village to visit Lawin Sufi shrine + Drinking tea

12:00                       A visit to the Persian ruins.

12:30                       Head to the railway tunnel which is craved in the mountain

13:30                       Arrive to Salah el Dein and Numan bin Lawin Sufi shrines.

14:00                       Break for a coffee.

15:30                       End with a traditional Palestinian lunch and sweets in addition to a visit to al Masoudeyeh village

  • Lightweight walking boots.
  • Walking poles.
  • At least 3 - 4 liters of water and snacks for the hike. (Possibility to buy from the village)
